Expanding your capacity as a mom

When Margaret was pregnant with her third child, her mantra was, “I’ll figure it out.” She remembered when she thought it was going to be impossible to get herself and her two kids out the door prior to 10:00am. Then she figured it out. Sometimes she was even in the car with the two kids faster than she would’ve been when she just had one baby. She continued to get more creative and organized around what was most important. She figured out how to discipline two very differently tempered children after initially being completely befuddled about how to get through to her extremely laid-back second born.

Margaret was admittedly worried during her third pregnancy and easily got to feeling overwhelmed when she considered caring for three kids with varying needs. Yet, she knew somehow some way she’d handle it. She’d been overwhelmed and stumped before. She’d continue to expand her capacities. She’d evolve with her family. She knew deep down she could and would.
